This privacy policy explains how EHCP Compass (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you join our waitlist or contact us. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

EHCP Compass is being established as a Community Interest Company in England. For the purposes of UK GDPR, EHCP Compass is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at help@ehcpcompass.co.uk.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address (required).
  • Optionally, the stage you’re at in the EHCP journey.
  • Optionally, your child’s age range.
  • The date and time you joined the waitlist.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or any data about your child beyond the optional age range.

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your data on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you give by submitting the waitlist form. We use your data to:

  • Let you know when EHCP Compass is ready to use.
  • Occasionally share meaningful updates about the product’s development.
  • Understand who is interested in the tool so we can prioritise features.

We will not send marketing from third parties, and we will not contact you about anything unrelated to EHCP Compass.

How we store it

Waitlist data is stored in a secure database hosted in the European Union (London region). Access is restricted to the EHCP Compass team. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist data until EHCP Compass launches and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is sooner. If the project does not launch, we will delete the waitlist.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify waitlist subscribers by email.
